Texas Child Care Licensing requires early child care educators to complete 24 hours of training annually. 19 training hours may be completed online via self-instructional training.
This training session consists of the required annual training topics below: 3 hours will be issued for completing this training session.
- Introduction to Texas Child Care Regulation
- Child Growth & Development 1 hour
- Challenging Behaviors in Early Childhood Settings 30 minutes
- Teacher-child Interactions 30 minutes
- Care of Children with Special Needs 1 hour
** Note:
At least 5 of the 24 required annual training hours must come from instructor-led training. The remaining 19 required annual training hours may come from self-instructional training, of which no more than three hours may come from self-study training.
