Emergent ED Child Care Consulting offers the Heartsaver course through the American Heart Association! The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, and more.

CPR AED and choking: CPR and AED Use for Adults*, Children and Infants, Adult*, Child, and Infant Choking. This training satisfies Child Care Licensing Requirements.

Answer: Accommodations can be made for anyone with mobility limitations or disabilities that prevent them from being able to get on the ground. 

2.) Will I receive a certificate for completing the course?

Answer: You will receive an email containing your Heartsaver CPR/First Aid certificate 1-3 days following the completion of the instructional material and skills test. 

3.) Am I able to complete the course online? 

Answer: Due to the requirements for skills testing, there is currently no option to take the class online only and receive a CPR/FA certificate that will be accepted by Texas Child Care Licensing. Hybrid options are available for those that pay for the online instructional course and would like to complete their skills test with us.
