Texas Child Care Relief Funding Approved Money for Child Care

The Texas Workforce Commission approved another $1billion in funding for all licensed homes, registered homes, and licensed child care centers! The center or home must be permitted as of February 28, 2023, and plans to remain open until May of 2023. The impacts of COVID-19 on early childhood centers and homes has been damaging. The relief funds provided will have full oversight and guidance of the way funds will be spent. 

Per TWC website:

TWC will begin sending out invitations to apply for Child Care Relief Funding 2022 in the next few weeks. Eligible child care programs will receive an application link through the email address used to log in to the operation’s Child Care Regulation Account Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until May 31, 2022.
